# Channel

A channel represents your "Phone Number" that you connect with "WhatsApp business API" via Lancepilot.

To connect your number to "WhatsApp business API" you need to create a "channel" using that "Phone Number". A channel represents your "Phone Number" that is connect with the "WhatsApp business API". To create a channel for your number you need the following requirements

### Requirements

* A phone number that is not associated with any WhatsApp apps
* A Facebook account

If you have all of your requirements in place then you can start creating your channel from [here](https://lancepilot.com/channel) by clicking the "Create Channel" button.

## Create and connect a channel

If you are navigating to this section for the first time then you will need to create and connect a channel. Please check out the video and create and connect a channel.<br>

### After you have created and connected a channel with Lancepilot then you will see all your channel related information here.

### How to change my numbers profile photo?

Click > visit channel manager&#x20;

then click Go to channel

Then select the whatsapp icon of your channel and click WABA business profile

Then upload a new photo  and click update

### Share QR code with your prospects
